The Minds That BindI tread the paths Tread by those before me Knowing nothing else But existence clouds my mind And causes me to stumble In my heart dwells the Frustrated spirit of a Revolutionary where there is No need for revolution And my world is bittersweet The souls of the people are Screaming Hallway after hallway As they strain against the Chains that hold them back Pulling and thrashing They seek the freedom of An empty heart While grasping at things To fill it back up Of those that break free Some fall and crash Into theThe Minds That Bind

ScarringI stand up and Take a breath Let all my faults Fall from me But then you pick them up And throw them straight Back at me Like so many knives You smile as you Stand there And expect me not to Feel the pain I am cut and bloodied And I scar And always will I Remember What it was that cut me All those faults I can't EscapeScarring

No One Is My RaincoatLife settles upon me As a cloud Then Like a cloud Mists my vision When finally I realize See through it Heavy rains are falling But then I understand them The storms All at once they depart me And I am left More bent than brokenNo One Is My Raincoat

Night Is HereSunset Evening stretches its Indigo fingers Across the strawberry sky Light Slowly Fading Until Darkness Falls like a net Capturing all in its deep embrace The world Succumbs to the wiles of Night And slumbers in its arms Stars Scattered across Night's dark visage Shine hopefully In memory of day Moon A pale glowing sickle Casts its stolen rays On all beneath it Ruling the skies Declaring to us That night is here And daylight gone And for now at least Day is a memory &nbsNight Is Here
